About Us
OUR MISSION
The "Price of Security" is one of the greatest challenges we face today. HSFA
is a nonprofit organization established to EDUCATE, SERVE and PROTECT the public.
Our mission is to advance Homeland Security while
protecting American's civil liberties.
OUR MESSAGE
"Every American Has the Right to Be a Patriot."
When people hear “Homeland Security”, they automatically think “big government”.
We are working to change this misconception. Homeland security is about taking care of your family, caring about your neighbors, helping to keep your community safe and protecting your rights as a citizen. It’s about civic duty, being aware, providing your support and showing you care about America. Doing so WILL significantly strengthen our defenses against criminals and terrorists.
Safeguarding our homeland is NOT the sole responsibility of the government. A
strong, effective presence of security is best achieved by empowering American citizens to lawfully safeguard their valuable assets and by opening lines of communication between the public and law enforcement.
HSFA’s job is to help people and organizations across the country join this movement towards a safer, more prosperous America for our children and future generations to come.

WHAT WE
DO
HSFA’s primary objective is to advance Homeland Security while protecting Americans’ civil liberties. We accomplish this objective through a number of educational, scientific, and operational programs. These programs collectively involve, but are not limited to the following tasks:
(a) Educating the public concerning the importance of homeland security and foster security awareness and disaster preparedness;
(b) Bridging the gap between the public and law enforcement agencies;
(c) Conducting security readiness tests, security surveys, incident response, and related activities;
(d) Collectively deriving common solutions for both technical and non-technical issues in the development, implementation, and publication of products and services designed to improve Homeland Security without negatively impacting Americans’ civil liberties;
(e) Collaborating with community leaders, governmental and organizational representatives, and other concerned members of the public and government to exchange ideas, suggest solutions, and implement strategies to protect the nation.
