"Energy prices are one of the leading threats to energy security. It can lead to energy crises caused by an oligopoly or monopoly supplier, cartel or country. A greater threat could involve key suppliers who’re able to influence the world market by suspending or terminating supplies to tip the scale in their favor during economic negotiations. |

For America, this means a long-term sustainable energy security plan is critical to the freedom, safety and prosperity of all her people and allies. American energy security starts with reducing dependency on foreign oil and thrives by changing the way we live; by promoting green living and working, building energy efficient technologies; and by ensuring "green" is always part of the ongoing discussion in communities and in Washington.
Energy security starts at home. Great minds and scholars worldwide are working to address energy conservation and climate change.

HSFA's working grassroots initiatives from the bottom up to meet these high-level efforts halfway. We do this through Weatherization and by "Greening UP" homes and businesses. We conduct workshops to raise awareness about conservation, green living and help renters, homeowners and businesses gain access to resources and funds to conserve energy, preserve the environment and safeguard America. Most importantly, we do all this together with you, your neighbors and businesses owners right in your local community.
Join our mission. Volunteer, partner with HSFA, learn about Project Green Village, join our Board of Directors or find an opportunity with an energy professional in your area, but do it today. We owe it to our youths to make communities across the nation safer, greener and more prosperous now, giving them the edge they'll need to maintain America's long-term economic, social and moral standing around the world."
