HSFA added four new members to its Board of Advisors.
The Homeland Security Foundation of America (HSFA) has added four new members to its Board of Advisors. HSFA is a nonprofit, nonpartisan organization established to Educate, Serve and Project the public, advancing Homeland Security while preserving Americans’ civil liberties.
The four new experts are:
Lloyd Booth – Chief Security Officer and security risk management expert with more than thirty years combined military and engineering experience.
Rickie Singleton – Director, Network Operations, Netco Government Services, specializing in wide area network operations in the defense industry.
Eugene Breaux – Award winning, advertising and commercial photographer for the White House, Polaroid, Merrill Lynch, the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and other organizations.
Shayla Price –Urban Restoration Enhancement Corporation staff member, Member of Board of Directors, Adult Literacy Advocates of Greater Baton Rouge and author of the book The Scholarship Search (2006).
Booth, Singleton, Breaux and Price join six other respected leaders with academic and corporate expertise that comprise HSFA’s Board of Advisors.
In addition to announcing new board members, HSFA is unveiling its primary initiative for 2008, a Campaign for Child Safety and Protection, CSP 2008. HSFA has partnered with General Growth Properties, Inc., KIDSAFEID, LLC, Child Shield USA, FedHealth, and other key organizations and is working with FEMA, local Emergency Management Agencies, and Fire and Police Departments to provide free family safety and disaster preparedness resources. HSFA is scheduled to deploy eight safety exhibits around Georgia in late 2008 and plans to expand the campaign to every state in the Union in 2009.
“We welcome the addition of Lloyd, Rickie, Eugene and Shayla to our Board. I’m confident they will add great value to HSFA operations and help strengthen our ability to serve the American people,” said Eric Brown, President of HSFA. “The success of our efforts to improve conditions in the community through our campaign for Child Safety and Protection and other initiatives depends on how well we engage our experts. Our newest members have the courage, talent and experience we need to further our mission. We’re aggressively working to expand our panel of experts. I invite government officials, security experts, law enforcement agents, and professionals from all walks of life to join our Board and this movement towards a safer, more prosperous America.”
The “Price of Security” is one of the greatest challenges we face today. HSFA is the only nonprofit, nonpartisan public charity, with Department of Homeland Security (DHS) / Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) certified staff, established to help advance homeland security while preserving Americans’ civil liberties. HSFA believes a strong, effective presence of security is best achieved by empowering American citizens to lawfully safeguard their valuable assets and by opening lines of communication between the public and law enforcement. HSFA was recently featured on General Norman Schwarzkopf’s award winning World Business Review (WBR).
